Default Traction Control doesn't Turn Off???

Just bought an 00' WS6 M6 and the traction control off light comes on if you turn the key to on, turns off when you start it. Normal.

It does not come on when I press the Traction Control switch.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

If I'm not mistaken, TCS comes on as soon as you crank the car...you have to manually turn it off. When you crank the car, and then press the switch...does the "TCS OFF" light come on? If bad switch, I may have one here...I am probably not going to hook up the TCS system on my 2000 WS6 T/A when I put the replacement drivetrain in.

The dash lights work and I believe that the Traction Control is working, I just can not disable it without a working switch.

No, the "TCS OFF" light does not come on, and the light within the switch itself does not come on either. I suspect that it is the switch since nothing about it is right. What is the availability of that switch of yours? The dealer wants around $ 25 for it. Thanks.
