short somwhere my trunk release runs off my courtesy fuse and when i changed out my 6 speed pedals, it wont work i put a fuse in and it instantly blows. i recently had a spare door key made and lost the original in the process and now the new key doesnt even work.. so i cant open my trunk!!! this is very frustrating i looked at all the wires above the pedals and not one looks bad
Put a bigger fuse in it. Try 5 amps bigger and see if it still blows. If it still blows you do have a short somewhere. Check and make sure you don't have any connections touching or anything like that. I kept blowing a fuse once and I noticed a bare connection touching metal and it kept shorting.
lol I had a short in my radio one time and it keep blowing the fuse to my tail lights. Not sure why? The guy who owned the car before butcherd the stock harness, switching from Bose to aftermarket.
