Window Problems
Window Problems Hey all, just the other day my drivers side window stopped going down and suddenly it stopped going in either direction and i just hear the motor grinding. i assumed it was the gear so i took the door panels off and started inspecting stuff and i noticed that a riveted piece broke apart, as shown in the pic below, and this is the only wrong thing i can find so far. this is the verticle runner for the window that came detatched from the piece that atcually is attatched to the glass. anyone know a way to fix this or how i can just replace it form one from another fbody?

People drill out the rivets on the motor mounting brackets and reattach with screws/bolts - would it work to do that here? maybe drill another hole further up if the old one is too messed up?
