Hatch won't open while car is running

Hatch won't open while car is running

My rear hatch won't open if my car is running. Is that normal?

Yes it is normal. If you pull the E-Brake you can open the hatch with the car running.

My hatch won' t open while the car is running either....

Then again I don' t have the remote hatch button, so I have to shut the car off, so I can use my key.
