Seafoam Question....
Seafoam Question.... I am about to seafoam my motor and I was wondering on how to go about it. I read tohe back of the can about how to add it to the oil, gas and what not. The question I have deals with the oil. I'm planning on adding the proper amount to the crankcase and driving it around to circulate it. I am going to add it to the old oil before I change it. How long or how far should I go while running the seafoam threw it until I change the oil? I also plan in running it threw the throttle body. I was also wondering how good this stuff is, is it safe for the sensors, and will I notice a difference, the car does have 115K.

I work at Oreilly auto parts and that is the best thing we sell to cutormers and shops. The best way I have found to clean your fuel out is to pull the hose off your power brake booster and with a funnel while the car is running pour the bottle into it. Your car will smoke for a little while you can try reving the engine slightly after the bottle is in. Don't be worried about the smoke that is just what is being cleaned off. I gained 2mpg on my 98 blazer by doing that.
i definetely would not drive anywhere with the seafoam in the crankcase, i think it would thin the oil out way too much. if youre gonna put it in the oil, just warm your car up, shut it off then add the seafoam and let it sit and idle for 10 or 15 minutes, i have tried it on cars other than my TA and have never really noticed a difference in oil pressure or anything.
