Panel Replacement - Front Side Pontiac
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the fender bolts/screws.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.
3. Remove the wheelhouse panel liner.
4. Remove the front fender.
5. Remove the following components as needed:
The fascia outer bracket bolts/screws
The fascia outer bracket
6. Remove the following components as needed:
The fender rear upper bracket bolts/screws
The fender rear upper bracket
7. Remove the following components as needed:
The fender rear center bracket bolts/screws
The fender rear center bracket
Installation Procedure
1. Install the following components if removed:
The fender rear center bracket
The fender rear center bracket bolts/screws
Tighten the fender rear center bracket bolts/screws to 5.5 N·m (49 lb in).
2. Install the following components if removed:
The fender rear upper bracket
The fender rear upper bracket bolts/screws
Tighten the fender rear upper bracket bolts/screws to 5.5 N·m (49 lb in).
3. Install the following components if removed:
The fascia outer bracket
The fascia outer bracket bolts/screws
Tighten the fascia outer bracket bolts/screws to 5.5 N·m (49 lb in).
4. Install the front fender.
5. Install the wheelhouse panel liner.
6. Lower the vehicle.
7. Install the fender bolts/screws.
Tighten the fender bolts/screws to 5.5 N·m (49 lb in).
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the fender bolts/screws.

3. Remove the wheelhouse panel liner.
4. Remove the front fender.
5. Remove the following components as needed:
The fascia outer bracket bolts/screws
The fascia outer bracket
6. Remove the following components as needed:
The fender rear upper bracket bolts/screws
The fender rear upper bracket
7. Remove the following components as needed:
The fender rear center bracket bolts/screws
The fender rear center bracket
Installation Procedure
1. Install the following components if removed:
The fender rear center bracket
The fender rear center bracket bolts/screws
Tighten the fender rear center bracket bolts/screws to 5.5 N·m (49 lb in).
2. Install the following components if removed:
The fender rear upper bracket
The fender rear upper bracket bolts/screws
Tighten the fender rear upper bracket bolts/screws to 5.5 N·m (49 lb in).
3. Install the following components if removed:
The fascia outer bracket
The fascia outer bracket bolts/screws
Tighten the fascia outer bracket bolts/screws to 5.5 N·m (49 lb in).
4. Install the front fender.
5. Install the wheelhouse panel liner.
6. Lower the vehicle.
7. Install the fender bolts/screws.
Tighten the fender bolts/screws to 5.5 N·m (49 lb in).
