Problems while idling

Problems while idiling I have a 2000 T/A with a pretty rough idle and i'm having trouble when i put it in gear and sometimes when i'm slowing down at a stop light the tach will flux from 1000 to 500 and the oil pressure fluxs along with it. It's done this for a while and I just wanted to know if anyone had any ideas?

Could be an IAC valve, could be fuel filter or basic tune-up related (plugs/wires), could be MAF, EGR, and/or vacuum related, etc. Lots of possibilities. Are you getting an SES light? Have you scanned for current or stored DTCs? What about misfires, have you scanned for those?

Sounds like IAC valve or some other tune up part or fuel filter. For what its worth though there was a rough idle thread on here a while back and a lot of 2000 owners complained of a rough idle for some reason. I have a '00 and it idles rough. It doesn't fluctuate 500 revs though...more like 100.
