Oil Change Light?
Oil Change Light? It came on yesterday when I started the car, but it only stayed on for 5 minutes. That same day on the way home from work I started the car again and it came on for about 30 seconds. I thought it was supposed to come on and stay on right??? I had my oil changed probably 2,000-2,500 miles ago. Thanks!

You need to reset the light.
Here is how you reset it:
1.) Turn the key to "ON" (DO NOT START THE ENGINE)
2.) Push and hold in the Trip Reset button until the "Change Oil" light flashes
Thats it.
The "Change Oil" light should now be off.
If it comes on again soon, then there is something wrong.

You can also depress the gas pedal 5 times very quickly, with the ingition on and the engine not running, and get the same results. I have done this on my trucks and tried it on my 2001 Camaro SS and it worked. But for me it is much easier to reset the tripometer.
