No 'BRAKE' light on cluster?
No 'BRAKE' light on cluster? Just wondering if anybody else has had their BRAKE light on the dash cluster mysteriously disapear on them? Even with the E-brake up, I don't get the dash indicator and it's not a faulty cluster bulb because as soon as I turn the key on my WS6, the corner lights turn on and I can't pop the trunk from within the car.

Yup, just happened the other day. Then it started working and haven't seen it happen again. Probably will though. I hate these pesky little stupid F body problems. My car seems to be full of them lately. Both power window motors are next....lol. Good thing my A/C is awesome. Anyways, I remember it did it once awhile back. I just hit the console and the light came back on. Somethings loose I guess. If you get a wild hair one night, pull out the console and check around the e-brake.
It could be a few things.... bulb in dash, wiring, or the switch. There is a mechanical switch under your E-Brake Lever that is supposed to turn that light on. When your E-Brake is up, the switch is supposed to close and turn the light on. When the brake is down, the switch should open and turn the light off. The switch could be broken or have dirty contacts and never electrically close. You can pull the center console out (takes about 10 minutes if your mechanically inclined) and visually inspect the switch. You should be able to move the contacts with your fingers and see what happens. If you ever spilled a drink down that center console slot, that could dirty up that switch real quick. Also, there is a connector that goes to that switch that may have slipped off. If the switch and wiring appear to be OK, its probably the bulb in the dash but I've never heard of those blowing out.
