Flasher Question

first my front left running light wasnt working at all and the back turning signal would just stay solid and not flash but the right would flash so i thought it was just the bulb that was out so i went and bought a new bulb, then i go to install the bulb and the running light wants to work just not flash, but the right side flashes fine. im confused because i thought theres one flasher that controls both sides so if one side doesnt work the other one wont flash either?? any help on this would be appreciated.

Sounds like you bought the wrong bulb. Is it a dual filament?

its the right bulb but the old bulb started working again before i could even put it in it just wont flash

its a dual element bulb. one of the elements might be burned out while the other still works. Try putting the new bulb in and see what happens.

Check your bulbs. You could have a corroded socket causing it. If your light stays lit...its a bulb. GMs nice way to tell you that you got a bulb out.
