What is this?

I was just wondering because I don't have this on my camaro so I was wondering exactly what this is, what it does, and why I wouldn't have it? thanks.

Thats the Cruise control unit

Thats the Cruise control unit see it goes to the throttle .

Not cruise control....that's the TRACTION control unit. Cruise control is the cable right next to the thottle cable on the throttle body.

Guess again. That's the traction control (TCS). The cruise control module is located by the air pump (at least on my car).

Edit : Ah, ya beat me to it.

I'm glad you told me that, thats what fparts sent me when I ordered the throttle cable, i thought that was the cruise control, since it connects directly to the pedal.

Actually the cruise control cable goes through it too. I believe it has 3 cables. One is the accelerator one is the cruise, and one is the cable that will pull in opposite direction which pushes back on the pedal under wheel spin.
