AC leakdown problem
AC leakdown problem I just recharged my ac yesterday because it wasn't working. The compressor works fine on a fresh recharge. The problem is that the entire system leaked down in one day. I'm mking a two day road trip starting tommorrow and really need it working. Was there any problems with the factory system? When I recharged it I used o-ring conditioner, oil, and stop leak. Still didn't work. Any ideas?

1) If the A/C's performance died down slowly like normal (prior to recharge that is) - and it was just a casual bit of maintenance to recharge it to bring it back up to par, then I wouldnt think that there's any major leaks unless u somehow 'way' overcharged it...
2) It may sound silly, but did the pressure pin stick...?
3) I assume you checked the pressure to conclude it all leaked out? And you put the stop leak in after you reached this conclusion, right? As far as I know, products that seal a circuit from the inside generally work - but they do sometimes end up clogging the system instead. A guy I know used the engine coolant variant; it sealed his radiator, but also clogged the rest of his system.
4) did you notice any abnormal system behavior? my mom's chrysler was just charged recently, and right after it was charged it started hissing, and fog was coming out of the vents O_O and now it doesnt work at all.. she said she was told the evaporator may be cracked.
idk how much help i was, but those are some ideas to kick around at least

well I took it to my buds house, he's done several recharges and all. THE FUKIN COMPRESSOR LOCKED UP WHILE RECHARGING IT. So thanks for your replies but looks like I'm gonna be one sweaty dude for the next few days or weeks.
