a/c problem
a/c problem Anyone know what my problem might be with my a/c? It worked fine and had been working fine since i bought it (little over a month now) and after being parked for a week i hop in and the a/c doesn't work! I checked the belts, fine. I checked the fuses, fine. It doesn't blow even the least bit chilly! It was working fine before being parked for a week. No unusual sounds like the compressor is dying etc...Do you think it just has a leak and finally leaked all the way out? This thing needs a/c or i might as well be driving the 69!

Well you say it dose not blow, dose the blower run in either heat or ac. Might be just a bad blower motor.
Can you hear the compressor engage when you turn it to ac?

It blows just fine, just not cold. I can hear the compressor come on and the engine idles up as expected when the a/c comes on (only up to just below 1k rpm from 850 or so). It was seriously like a light switch, went from working perfectly last time i drove it to not at all this past time.

It sounds like you might have had a leak in the system and lost your freon charge.???
Sorry to say cant realy tell with out putting a gauge on the system to see what the pressure is at.

Ok i'll take it somewhere tomorrow, i would have done it today but i've had several labs and reports to write (working on one as we speak). Just a tad pissed to jump in my car and have no working a/c! Thanks for the help and i'll post up tomorrow on what i find out.
