Default TCS question

Okay so maybe I am just stupid, but I need to get this staight.. Okay I remeber reading something about all 98-02 F-bodies came with TCS, but it was a option switch to disconnect it. On the other hand I was just reading some other thread and it said that the wires are in all cars but if you don't got the swtich then you don't have the rest of the TCS equipment. Since my car doesn't have a TCS switch will I even have to worry about getting the Module from SLP? And I still get a Low Trac light when I spin them up. Like I said Probably a stupid question and it has probably been discussed many times but I don't want to waste money on something I don't need.
Thanks

If there's not TCS/ASR switch, then you don't have traction control. All cars have the low traction light (which will light up when the car detects low traction conditions.) Cars with traction control, have another light on the dash that will light up when the traction control is turned off. (The pontiac says TCS Off, not sure if the camaro says TCS Off or ASR Off).

In cars without traction control, you don't have the traction control switch, and you don't have the wiring and other required parts in the rear end of the car. There's also compenents missing in the engine related to traction control, some kind of big black module. (The WS6 has traction control, the Firehawk doesn't...so I've seen the differences I've listed.)

On 98-02 fbodies, traction control was an option. As far as I know it wasn't standard on any model. I think it just ended up being a pretty standard option that got ordered on a lot of models though when they were built/ordered by the dealers.

If you're car doesn't have the switch, no need to worry about getting the module from SLP.

I think I got all your questions answered and all the bases covered there in my reply...
