Headlight problem on my TA
Headlight problem on my TA OK, over the last couple days my passenger headlight has been acting up. The last couple days when I would go to turn the headlights on the passenger one would not pop up. I would have to turn the lights on and off like 3 times before it would pop up. Now I go out tonight and the light wont go up at all. There is no grinding noise, the light just wont go up. What is going on? The headlight itself still works, it just wont pop up. Sorry this is so long, Someone please help!!!

ya but it is not making any noise. do you think the gear might have just broken?
edit: Well I just went outside and messed with it. I manually raised it up a bit and then lowered it. Then I flipped the switch and it worked. Should I trust it to last?

just don't mess with that kinda stuff, i learned my lesson, if hteres a redline or finish line take it there, they specialize in american sports cars , they fixed my headlights for real cheap, it may be a motor , these cars are natourios for those kinds of thingd

there's a thred on here that mentions something about the bump stop for the down position. if it "goes down" too far (if the stop is bent or your little plastic boot thing breaks off) then it binds when it tries to go up. since you pulling it up got it to work and you have no poping noise I don't think the "gear fix" is going to fix your paticular problem. I'm pretty certian your "down position" stop has either bent or the little cream/whitish colored boot has come off or has a rather large depression where the arm contacts it allowing the headlight to go down just a hair too far. this is for a 3rd gen but will give you an idea what I'm talking about: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/482801/7
also manually lower you headlights about half way ( raise them if their down
) and then grab the "round" part of the motor and try to wiggle it ... if it wiggled then you need to do the "free fix" part where it talks about the loose housing because this WILL lead to a stripped gear for sure. that's what did my drivers side in
