horrible squeal!
Please help with horrible squeal! I have had an aweful squeal coming from one of my accessories, but only after the car runs for a while and gets up to full temp. It's mainly at low RPMs but you can hear it cruising around too. I've replaced the tensioner pulley, idler pulley and the belt. I have my AC belt off. Any suggestions as to definitively diagnosing where the squeal is coming from? My first guess is the water pump bearings but i have a 50/50 chance of being right as it might be the Alt. bearings? 
When you get the squeel turn on your head lights and see if it goes away. Might be able to see if it is the alternator. By putting a slight load on it at that time.
Will it do it to were you can be under the hood and look around?
Next time it happnes with it running try and releave some tension on the tensioner and you might be able to locate it by looking around. At least you could tell if it is a belt driving problem.

Well, I tried loosening the tensioner to the point that the belt almost flew off and it still was squealing. I guess I'll have to flip a coin (alt....waterpump). They both are original and have 72,000 miles on 'em!
