could use some help I dunno if this is in the right forum, but here goes
I had to go through a rather large puddle to get home. The puddle almost came up to the doors. As i went through it my car died. Wouldnt start back up, so i pushed it out and waited awhile and it started back up. After a while it would run what seemed like properly, but as soon as i started to try and move the RPMs would dive down and even if i pressed the gas pedal to try and get them back up it just keeps going down as if i never touched the pedal. It dies, so i start it up again and everyhting seems to be alright, so i put it in gear and try to move and the RPMs just dive bomb again and it dies. It just repeats this same cycle, starts runs for like 2 mins and dies. I let everyhting dry out over night and tried to go some where today and the same thing happened. Can anyone give me some advice, i dont have another car and i need to go back home to pay a damn ticket.

If you have a 97 and earlier camaro you probably got the distributor wet on the front of the motor. Which would eventually dry out. If yours is 98 and newer it may have gotten water in the air filter box and wet the filter and/or mass air flow. Had a buddy drown his 2000 in houston and hydro locked it.

sounds like a bad mass airflow sensor to me, mine caused the same symptoms, but also caused my car to jerk around like it was being towed by someone who didnt know how to tow a vehicle (stop and go, stop and go)
