The brake light is on?

Hey guys,
I need to get my car inspected, so I changed my brakes out (no more squeaking - woohoo!) stops great and everything. The problem is that the brake light in the dash that says "BRAKES" in red is still on. I noticed when I bought the car the ebrake button was gone and it just doesn't work at all. What can I do to get the brakes light off? Will they pass me with it on? Help appreciated!

Have you checked the brake fluid level? Make sure you are filled up to the full line.

I had the same problem with mine. It probably won't pass with that light on.
Check out the thread I started with my problem. It gives some good ideas where to look.
