odomoter ghost Hey everyone, i have a 99 SS and sometimes when i turn the car off, then come back to it a little while later, i see that the odometer has reset itself. Now, i know this probly isnt a very big problem, but it does get kind of annoying when i am trying to figure out what kind of mileage im getting. Does anyone have any ideas as to what i can do to fix it? does anyone else have this problem? Thanks
first tighten the connection on your battery terminals - this solved my problem. if that doesn't work, consider getting a new battery or new gauge panel. I know there is some issue with the gauge clusters themselves, but i know it does the same thing if it isn't getting enough/consistent power
if theres a service bulletin about it, then does that mean i can just take it to a chevy dealership and they will fix it for me? sometimes when i start the car up the speedometer gage and the tach will go all the way up and fall back down, but i didnt think much of that till now.

Don't think they'll do it for free, wouldn't hurt to ask though. This thread has the TSB in it: www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=359115 If it just started doing it I think it's most likely low voltage from the battery.
