Lights flickering when driving or idle

Lights flickering when driving or idle Alright the last 2 nights I have noticed that all of my lights are flickering or pulsating with the engine running. The faster the engine goes the faster the flicker becomes.
Is this an alternator problem or something else? I have a brand new 650amp battery that is less than a month old.
Is there anything you guys can think of maybe I could check?

If the alt. is bad, then the battery will probally soon be discharged. If you have a voltmeter or dvom, I can tell you have to do a few quick and easy voltage drop tests across your charging system circuitry that will hopefully narrow down the cause of your problem. Otherwise just take it to a shop and they should be able to do that for you at a small price.

The commutator(inside alternator)has a dead spot on it. My s-10 does it and I just keep driving it. Been doing it a year now. If the flickering bothers you then swap the alternator out.
