Default Correct procedure for setting the car on jack stands...

I was wondering on how some of you set your cars on jack stands for either storage or when working on them.

What I mean is, do you first lift the back and set two stands on the axle and then go to the front or raise the front first?

Maybe you lift the right side first and then the left?

Just curious...

I do side to side with the parking brake on and the wheels chocked. If I have to raise the car extra high, I still do side to side but in increments. If I only need to work on the back I jack the car up by the pumpkin with the front wheels chocked then set the jack stands on the frame or axle depending on what I'm working on.

i pull it up on ramps , put the stands under the front , jack up the back put stands under the back , take away the jacks and leave it on the ramps and on the stands, this is to get under the whole car, i do it side to side with the jack, then the stands for just lifting the front or back, i need my rhino ramps for the whole thing, i still cant get over the clostrophobia of being under a 3k lb car without almost crying

You can lift front or rear first. If you have stock K-member you can lift from center of K-member.
