Default Question on neutral safety switch

I have a '98 M6 and want to know where the neutral safety switch is located? I'm pretty sure it's going bad on me and the dealer has them for $9 so I might as well replace it. Thanks.

It appears that automatic cars have a park/neutral position safety switch, and manual cars have a clutch pedal position safety switch instead... If that's what you're asking about, here's how to replace it:

Clutch Pedal Position Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the I/P retainers.
2. Remove the I/P insulator.
3. Remove the I/P knee bolster bolts.
4. Remove the I/P knee bolster.
5. Disconnect the clutch pedal position switch electrical connector.
6. Pull up to disengage the clutch pedal position switch from the pedal bracket.
7. Remove the clutch pedal position switch.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the clutch pedal position switch.
2. Align the buttons on the clutch pedal position switch to the slotted holes on the bracket.
3. Press the clutch pedal position switch down until secure.
4. Connect the clutch pedal position switch electrical connector.
5. Install the I/P knee bolster.
6. Install the I/P knee bolster bolts. Tighten the I/P knee bolster bolts to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
7. Install the I/P insulator.
8. Install the I/P retainers.
