Default Power Window Problem

The window goes down and it goes up. But not all the way. However I can pull it the rest of the way up and it will stay. Is it a bad motor or did it fall off the track/slider broken? And are either of the easy to replace?

Sounds like your motor kicked the bucket. It happens to all of us sooner or later. It's not the easiest to replace but not too bad if your mechanically inclined. Maybe this will help....

Here's some word of advice: If your motor has been replaced in the past(if you bought a used car) then check to see if the the screws holding the motor aren't loose. You don't have to do this if you know for sure that the motor is the original because they rivet the motor in place in the assembly line. I ordered the motor (from ebay for 25 bucks)and printed that write up and when I took the door panel off to repalce the motor, I noticed that all the screws were loose and one had fallen. If the motor is toast then the installation isn't hard. I think what makes it a pain in the rear are those little screws that they send you to put in where you drilled out the rivets. Those little bastards are hard to hold on to when you have your big *** hand stuffed in the door.

Finally got around to checking this out. Took the motor out which was a lot easier than I though it would be. It wasn't the original so I tightened the screws and it's working fine now. It was harder getting the door panel off than getting the motor out.
