Default Creaking when turning steering wheel

Hey guys, here is the problem. When I'm at a standstill or moving at low speeds (less than 10mph), and I turn the steering wheel I can hear a low pitched creaking coming from the front suspension. It’s not coming from the power steering pump and since I can't hear it when driving down the street, (easier to turn the wheels at speed) I think its something with the swaybar or how it mounts up. This weekend I'm going to put it on jacks, what should I look for?

Any thoughts?

I would check any tie rod bolts and make sure they are tight. Also check the rack and pinion boots and make sure the grease didn't leak out for any reason or that water or mud got in them. After that, do as you said and check the swaybar endlinks as well as the bushings in the center of the swaybar. Have you checked your power steering fluid lately? Your sound doesn't seem typical of low fluid but it wouldn't hurt to check.

Cool, I'll look for that.
