Default Proper headlight function

I'm trouble shooting a peculiar headlight problem and wanted to know how they should work.

On Trans Ams, low beams on, which lamps are light?

Same thing for high beams?

My problem is my driver side low beam is really dim, and on high beam it completely goes out. Passenger side works fine in all conditions. Any advice?

98+ TA, low beams = two outter lights on. Highbeams = All 4 lights on.

I had a problem with my highbeams not coming on, and it was due to the corroded connection in the back. You can pop your hood and try to adjust that wire/connection to see if it's loose.

This is right. Sounds like you either a poor connection or a ground problem. chekc all your connections first and if that doesn't fix it ohm out all your gounds to make sure they are good.

Thanks fellas. I'll double check those connections.

i had the same problem on my driver side headlight. i put a new blub in and the low beam still did not work so i check the connection plug and the connectors inside were rusted and the ground was loose so then i knew what needed to be fixed. if i ever have a problem with the headlight not going up or down and not functioning and i am ripping that damn connector plug apart hahaha . excuse my hatred towards the headlights haha. good luck
