overheating

ok so on my way back to AUBURN tonight for a test in the morning and caar makes it 220 miles only 250 to my house.
so running fine then check guages light popes up and I look at temp and its high as hell so I turen off the key and cost into the sholder. pop the hood and radiator fluid steamming . so let cool call AAA and my friend brings me some water and i put in the radiator while we wate for tow ttrucj and we see it running out on what looks like the back side on the radiator close to where the thermostate is. water running down there. so where is it comeing from. and did not see any hoses bad yet look harder in light tomarow.
ANY SUGESTIONS????????????

Thermostat or waterpump would be my guess.

just a possibility, but my car did pretty much the same thing when the electric fan switch failed to work and the fans did not come on.

why did your car leak fluid becasue fans failing

it didn't leak fluid, the coolant boiled over because temps were too high.

ok so I found a 4-5 inch crack in the plastic side of the radiator.
but I noticed something. the sensor on the passenger side (where my crack is) there is a sensor but nothing plugeds into it WHAT IS IT???
