Dirty Terminals/Connections??

Dirty Terminals/Connections?? My 99 SS now has a light flickering problem going on when it is started cold. It goes away when its warm. I checked the battery terminals and cleaned them....still does the same thing. Is the alternator hard to get to from underneath? Ive never had to deal with one on any of my other LS1s, but i am gonna try and clean that connection tonight.
Any thoughts?

My first thought when you said lights flickering only on cold starts, then stops when warm, was it might just be the air pump cycling - mine has always done that - it draws alot of AMPs. I only notice it at night once in a while in winter and cold temps (doesn't constantly flicker on and off though). It's not hard to replace, but before condemning the alt I'd have it, and the battery load tested at a local parts store first to be sure. Another idea is to pull the AIR PUMP fuse and see if it still does it - will throw a code but will turn itself back off after replacing it and a few starts. Just a couple ideas...
