Default Clunking from rear when turning

My 01 TA with 45 k has a clunk from the rear when I turn right or left, esp turning in a circle. Is my differential gone? How can this affect performance and is it dangerous? Just trying to figure out how quickly I need to get this fixed.

Also I have a thump going over bumps from the rear and a creaking sound when I'm slowly going over uneven ground like pulling into my driveway. It is only coming from the right rear side. When I push down on my hatch I can hear a slight squeeky sound from what sounds like my shock. Is my shock gone?

My 01 TA acts similarly. The creaking sound (from what I've searched) could possibly be the sway bar bushings and/or endlinks. The rear end on mine makes the same noise, but I'm not sure specifically what it is. Both it and my Z28 make/made the same noise, so I'm thinking its kinda common?

I have a similar problem, and this is the second 4th gen. that I have had. BOTH did it, but, I hear it a lot more with my '02. Some of it is from my torque arm transmitting more noise, but, I believe it, somewhat to be normal. Assuming there is nothing wrong, it may be normal. You may consider changing the fuild, and making sure that the fluid you use either contains diff' additive, or go get some. I have found sometimes this helps. At the same time, you can visually check the diff' and see if there is a bunch of metal in there, os see irregular wear on the teeth. Otherwise, my sorry @$$ed rear end always makes noise, and always has, so I don' t worry too much.

As far as your squeaking, I have found that when it gets cooler, my sway bar bushings dry out, and if I get some lube up in there, it quiets down. Also, there are rubber insulators at the top of the springs. Maybe try some silicone spray, at both of theses places, and hope for it to penetrate. If not, you may have to take these part and manually add some lube.

Check your lower control arm bolts specifically the front bolts. Mine did the same thing except for the turning part. After I put the SFC's on and tightened those bolts to 100 ftlbs the noise was gone.
