anyone run castrol? i was wondering if anybody runs castrol syntec? i was running regular castrol gtx 10w 30 on my old 2000 z28. i was wondering how people felt bout the castrol syntec?

Several of us do. Thats what is referred to when you see threads about GC 0W-30 (German Castrol syntec 0W-30). Most of the GC 0W-30 available today is the new mix; gold in color. Some claim the gold is as good as the green. Most are awaiting more UOA's to confirm its' effectiveness. Anyway, it's good stuff. Look for the Made in Germany lable on the back of the bottle.
Now, hang on tight 'cuz the Amsoil, Mobil1, yada...yada...yada replies will surely follow. I'll even be the first, Amsoil is also a great oil. Good-luck

im with you on that matt. i ran regular 1.99 castrol gtx, i never had any oil consumption problems nothing. it drove perfect. hey matt, do you plan to stick with regular castrol gtx or plan to run syntec. sorry, im not too familiar with the german stuff. i hear its good though.
