Is flushing the motor OK? Alright first off I have a 94 Pontiac Trans Am with 85,000 miles on the clock. I'm getting ready to change the oil on it but have a few questions before I do. I saw this stuff called K&W MOTOR FLUSH 5 MINUTE ENGINE CLEANER that you run in the crankcase for 5minutes then drain the oil and change as usual. Does this stuff work? Will it foul up my O2's or anything else? Also wanted to know what you guys think about ENGINE RESTORER & LUBRICANT. Will I really feel a difference like it claims? Or does it even help at all?
The safe way to clean the inside of an engine is with AutoRX. Don't use anything that cleans quickly as chunks can dislodge & clog the intake of your oil pump. AutoRx can alos be added (mixed w/oil) after the clean & fluch stage to keep the engine clean & conditioned. Do a web search for AutoRX & you will find them.

Auto-rx is the only internal engine cleaner I recommend! I've used it myself in my old 95 Formula and it works wonders! There was a dramatic difference in my oil analysis results after using this product (engine wear was much lower), as the LT1 was pretty dirty inside (I had a noisy valvetrain which went away after using this stuff)
