2nd time battery dies!
so I drove to work, but when I got there and tried to start it again, it wouldn't. Just the classic "Clicking" of a dead battery.
Shoudn't the alternator have charged it, since I drove the car around for about 30 minutes to work?
the only thing that I've done differenty is that I got a Sirius radio plug n play receiver and I leave it plugged in overnight (but in the off position) to the cigarette lighter.
Two things that are also weird,
the car does suffer from the flickering lights (headlights, gauges, etc)
and I've heard this squeaking (sounds like the belt) when I start the car, but it goes away after about 10 minutes of driving.
any help would be appreciated,
patrick
The Sirius radio shouldn't matter, I have an XM and I've left it on all night and haven't had a problem starting the car
I tried to move it today, and I had to take a ratchet to it to get the belt off,
so I'm thinking because of the flickering lights and the fact that the battery didn't charge back up, it must be the alternator
I agree, the reman usually comes with a lifetime warranty cause you'll need it. The GM usually has a 1 year warranty but will last 5 times as long.
