2000 Camaro SS voltage drain problem!
Another problem that I have had happen as soon as the battery started to drain itself was my Optima red top battery actually boiled to the point of it spewing acid all over the place, and the battery itself being so hot you cant even touch it. This has happened twice now, and all when I noticed the drainage problem.
I checked all the circuits, fuses and everything looks and seems fine, the alternator is working perfectly and so on. I cant figure out what is causing this? Could the battery boiling have any sort of coincidence with the voltage draining or vice a versa?
Any help or ideas would be great.
The only one that should show any current flow is the computer, alarm, and interior lights on cause the door is open. Hold the door button in to shut interior lights when you check that circuit.
You should be able to find the offending circuit that way.
Then find the problem within that circuit.
