Belts & Hoses - Gen Maint
I think I read the rule of thumb is to change belts and hoses at either 50K miles or 5 years, whichever comes first. I'm assuming you'd want to do the main drive belt and the upper and lower coolant hoses. Is there anything else that should be included in this list (vacuum hoses, etc)? ThX!

I wouldn't be too concerned about the hoses, unless they are cracked or getting spongey. Belts could probably stand to be changed though.
FWIW. I've still got all the stock hoses on both my '96 Bonneville and '98 Camaro, and they are in excellent condition.

Well, I think I'm just going to replace the upper and lower radiator hoses and the main serpentine belt, along with the thermostat and radiator cap. The hoses feel a little soft, so I feel better about doing it. All the parts from GM Parts Direct will be a little over a $100. I'm not going to mess with the heater hoses nor throttle body coolant hose at this time - they appear to be in ok condition.
