Ok, ever since the start of this winter my car has been running very hard. Random misfires and such so i changed the Plugs/wires. I have a 00 Z28 M6 with coming up to 60k on it. I took it to my work and they ran a diagnostic on it and found that i was having random misfires and running extreamly rich. We unpluged the injector for Cyl.2.. nothing changed. Same with 4. There seems to be a problem with my right side of cylenders.
Can anyone please help me. I have no idea what to fix, or too look at now.
I had a plug wire that would look like it was secure but wasn't (it needs to snap in place). The car idled rough and the SES illuminated. I secured the plug wires and reset the computer and all is well. It might also be the MAF screen. Do you have a K&N or other oil type filter. You may need to clean the screen very gently with alcohol and a q-tip and reinstall with a paper filter. These are just a couple of easy suggestions....good luck.

FYI. It's not the screen that you have to worry about. It's the actual MAF wires that would need to be cleaned if that was in fact the culprit. Granted, if there was enough oil on the filter to get the wires dirty, then it's probably a good idea to clean the screen as well, but that isn't where it ends. You have to gently clean the sensor wires with alcohol or electric parts cleaner and a Q-tip if you want to see any results.
As for the issue at hand, have you checked to make sure you're getting spark on the effected cylinders? Maybe move the ignition coils around and see if the issue moves with them? If it's one whole bank of cylinders, maybe a damaged wire in the coil rail? Have you scanned the PCM for other readings, like fuel trims, misfires for individual cylinders, and/or O2 readings?
