Default TA 3rd Brake light problem

So my 01 TA has a brake light problem with the spoiler mounted 3rd brake/parking light. I've replaced the bulbs b/c they were blown but that didn't work. So I checked the fuse and that was gone so I replaced that. Still nothing. What to look for next?

I would get a test light tool or multimeter. Hook up the lights to the brake light wire and a ground then have a friend stomp on the brakes. See if the test light will come on or it reads voltage.
