Default Checking the Basics

Just thought I would let everyone know about my experiences.

First my passager side signal/ day time light went out, after checking the bulb I found the socket was full of crud, so I bought one for $5 at a salvage lot. After changing it the turn signal/ day time running would still not work, but the parking light turned on at night. I did all this reserch and was about to change the DRL module and by chance I check the bulb and it turned out to be a bad bulb (which by the way was brand new). It has be about 3 days and all is well.

The other is that my SES light turned on and it was the AIR System, I thought it was the pump but after checking the price I decided to first check all the connections and the fuse. It turns out I had a burnt out fuse! 2 weeks and no problems.

To make along story short, always check the easiest fix first, that is usually what it wrong.

Just my 2 cents.

Good advice. As simple as that sounds, sometimes we all have a bad habit of looking past the easy stuff and trying to find a more complicated solution......

Yep. I thought the worst after a header install caused SES lights galore and it turned out to be the usual...a plug wire wasn't seated.

Man are you right. I was losing tons of power in my truck today. Wouldn't start after awhile, lights kept getting dimmer and dimmer, it was going crazy. I was checking fuses and crap all over the place. Ended up just being that the battery cable was a little loose.
