SS through a P1416 code, WTF?

Default SS through a P1416 code, WTF?

Does any1 know what this is, i had it scanned at Advanced Auto, it said (aux. emissions........) what the hell could that be, the car is driving fine

It's something related to the AIR system, which is the pump that heats the cats on a cold start. Actually, you can yank this thing which will set an SES. You can take it to a shop and have the SES wiped off the computer so you'll never have the code going forward.

if it makes a popping sound on downshifts, or a high rev when you let off its the secondary air injection check valve or somethin, thats whats wrong with mine!

My car threw that code and it was the check valves that were so clogged with carbon that the secondary air injection pump could not push air through them into the exhaust manifolds. I took them off, soaked them in some carb cleaner getting that gunk out and put'em back on. Code went away.

I threw P1416, replaced the passenger side air check valve - easy to do yourself. PN 12565503 (same for either side).
