112k what maintenance
112k what maintenance I'm doing an engine swap with a higher mileage motor. the engine has ~113k miles on the clock and will be going into a 86 mazda RX7 soon. it will be a weekend toy, eventually getting a mild cam and a few other mods to go faster.
while i have the motor out, i was considering doing some maintenece while it's out.
i do not know the donor car's maintenance history.
what should i do on the motor whil i have full (& easy) access??

This is taken from the owner manual of my 99 TA. It states after 100k start over with the scheduled maintenance.
15k miles
Check the oil life monitor
Inspect air cleaner filter
change automatic tranny fluid if vehicle is mainly driven under 1 or more of these conditions
-in heavy city traffic wherer the outside temparture regularly reaches 900F or higher
-in hilly or mountainous terrain
-When doing frequent trailer towing
-Uses such as a taxi, police or delivery service
Change rear axle gear lube if it is used to pull a trailer
Rotate the tires.

Recommended interval for the spark plugs is 100k, might as well change the plugs and wires while it's out, unless they were recently done. I'm not sure how access will be once it's in, but in f-body's it's a pain.

when i do the cam(probly around a 220/220 550/550 114lsa):
- plugs
- wires
- ARP rod bolts
- oil pan gasket
- custom CAI
- 180 thermostat
- serpetine belt
when i do the cam(probly around a 220/220 550/550 114lsa):
- oil pump
- timing chain
- water pump
- push rods
- valve springs
- Ti retainers
- roller rockers
- torque converter
- shift kit (may do before it goes in this time)
- gaskets/seals
