Question for Patman? I went to the local Walmart here in B.C. Canada today and found the German castrol you talk about so highly and Im going to put it in tomorrow. My question is they only have it in single bottles not in the 4.5 liter bottles like the 5w30 and 10w30 etc(which are not German) do they not come in the 4.5's at all. Also they had mobil 1 5w50 ,just curious if youve ever tried it because ive got a high mileage motor. Thanx in advance.

I don't know why Castrol only sells it in single bottles, but I'm just glad they sell it at all here! 
I've never tried the Mobil 1 5w50 or 15w50, but both of those are too thick for the LS1 unless you use the car mostly for road racing. For street driving it's just too thick.

Thanx for the reply, Ya h I found that strange myself that its only in the small bottles while the other weights are in the bigger Oh well Ill be going with it regardless ,was just curious about the 5w50. Cheers
