Default Oil Question

Hey guys ive been wondering for a while what weight of oil do you guys use for your motors and for your rear ends? I use royal purple and didnt know which weight was recommended.

I use conventional 5W-30. I used to use Penzoil, now I use castrol. Never had a problem yet and no compression lost. I haven't done the rear myself yet.

0w-30 German castrol syntec in the motor....75w-90 mobil 1 synthetic in the rear...and Mobil 1 synthetic ATF dexron 3 mercon in the trans

oils are in the sig, M1 75W90 in the rear, and penzoil Dex.III ATF in the trans
