I'm getting ready to wake my car up from the winter hibernation and I want to clean my air filter. I have a Donaldson currently and the last time I cleaned it I used up all my cleaner and oil. Do you think I can use the K&N cleaning and re-oiling kit on my Donaldson filter? I was going to just order the Donaldson kit from SLP but they want like $16.00 just for shipping and handling. I can pick up the K&N kit anywhere around here.

The K/N should work fine. I've been cleaning my K/N filter with orange degreaser and just useing there oil for about a year and haven't had any problems.

I found another vendor who had the Blackwing kit and didn't have a minimum order requirement and didn't rape me on shipping.
