wheres the traction control module?
last season i was having a problem with the traction control and i was pretty sure it was causing some kind of short/surging issue. i followed throttle cables to a box in front of the driver front wheel. unplugged everything and the problem continued. is that the cruise box? cause the TC still kicked in. where is the TC setup?
basically the traction control light on the button would go off after i touch the gas pedal after starting the car. it would stay on all day until i gave it any bit of throttle and it would shut off. the car would surge and the volts would be all over the place. i think it may be a short (most logical to me- losing voltage=erratic idle?). it went away for a bit but came back twice. once while doing a donut (not intentional ), and another when i blipped the throttle and the TC kicked the pedal back. both times the traction control was working and the car was idling fine. afterwards something musta jarred and the problem came back i would like to solve this so i can actually enjoy my car this season.

The traction control and cruise control both connect to the same stepper motor up front which also controls idle. Check the wiring to and around the stepper motor. The ASM module is under the drivers side dash behind the kick panel. For this kind of problem you need to carefully check the wiring and grounds.

Hey guys I was wondering if you can help me out. I have a 2000 SS red/t-top. And I dont have a traction control button. I even called SLP to see if my car is a real SS and they said yes. I've met up with a couple people with a SS and they seemed that its weird that I dont have one. Can someone help me out? Thanks!
