how to change ac belt
how to change ac belt I dont have a book on my car yet and I have only had it for a few months. I don't have much experience working on cars, but in the essence of saving money I was wondering the process and the tools I would need to change my ac pulley. Thanks for all the input. The newb.
I had to change mine recently too. It's pretty easy.
Belt diagram from under hood:

Tools Needed:
15 MM Wrench
Directions:
1. Using your 15mm wrench, rotate the bolt on the uppermost pulley clockwise to release belt tension (as indicated by the upper arrow).
2. Remove the lower section of the outer belt where it covers the A/C belt. Return pulley to normal position.
3. Rotate the bolt on the lowermost pulley clockwise to release belt tension (as shown by the lower arrow).
4. Remove the A/C belt. Return pulley to normal position.
5. Installation is the reverse of removal. DO NOT reverse directions with the wrench. Rotate the bolts clockwise to release tension. Let go of the wrench to reapply tension. DO NOT turn bolts counter-clockwise.
