shifter rattling???

shifter rattling??? 
I don't get it when my car is at idle you can't here it but at 1/2 throttle and mainly at full throttle the shifter shake a lot and you can hear it rattle a lot. It sounds like its coming from under the shifter boot. I Know its not my transmision since all my gear go in smoothly. Also my shifter *** has lots of play even while I am in gear.

The shifters have a tendency to rattle under load with stock motor mounts. You can replace them with poly ones and then go buy an aftermarket shifter to get rid of the play. Stock shifters suck.
