Oil change
Going to make my first oil change with my 2000 trans am. I think my plastic ramps from walmart fit under the front, so hopefully I'm lucky. Any strange quirks about the trans am oil change?

not a hard thing to do at all, and the ramps most likely wont fit. i had some metal ramps that were pretty low and still didnt fit so i put them in the grass and stomped them down a bit then parked the car ontop and worked good.

Thanks all, I've done tons of oil changes, just making sure nothing strange about the ls1. Nice location for the filter tho!
When does the computer suggeted oil change suggestion usually happen? It hasn't turned on yet, but the previous owner said the next oil change is due in 200 miles.

Go buy some 2x12 board, and cut two 2ft sections off of it. Place the boards in front of the ramps as an "intermediate" step between the tires and the ramps. Drive onto boards, then up onto ramps. Your front end will not scrape.
