strange noise....

strange noise.... im getting a whining noise when i start up my car after its been warmed up....i will start it up in the morning...drive it...park it and get in it 5 minutes later and this noise that sounds like like my engine is whining will last about 5 minutes then all of a sudden stop...
this one fella told me that its my "gulp valve"???
any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks

Can you localize the noise a little better for us? Check and see if it might be coming from behind the driverside foglight, although i doubt it.
Try turning the a/c on and off to see if it has an effect.
"Gulp valve" sounds like a sky-hook to me! Sounds like someone is pulling your leg. No such animal on an LSx vehical, unless its another name for something else.

yeah its coming from the drivers side towards to front of the engine....it only happens like i said when the car has been warmed up then turned off then started again...lasts about 3-5 minutes each time then shuts off....
