Default Turn signal flasher

My left turn signal is acting slow, but my right signal is fine. I bought a new flasher bulb at auto zone, but for the life of me, can't find it. My Haynes manual says its under the dash, left of the steering column. I removed the bottom plastic panel between my feet and the instrument panel. But no turn signal bulb to pull to be seen! Any one know what I need to remove to replace this? I hate pulling plastic to find these things, since it has a tendency to crack and break.

Look at my old post here:

https://ls1tech.com/forums/general-maintenance-repairs/485395-what-does-z28-turn-signal-relay-look-like.html

That should answer your ? If not just post up again.

I dunno if theirs a difference between the Trans Am and Camaro, but the flasher relay thats on the left of the steering column is the relay for the hazards. The flasher relay for the turn signals is where I show in the picture in the link above.

Cool, thanks. Which panel is the "knee" panel? I took off the panel right above where your legs go and didn't see anything like that. I was in a rush too so its possible I overlooked it.

You took off the correct panel. You can't see the relay just by removing that panel though. Take a good look at that pic. The relay is attached to the panel to the right of the "knee panel", right on the edge so you can't see it, gotta feel it w/ your hands. Might be able to see the wires going to it. If your turn signals still work, just turn 'em on and listen/feel for it. Don't try that w/ the hazards, because the hazard relay will lure you to the wrong direction.

Found the relay, then I woke up and realized my turn signal bulb is blown on the front. Doh. Time to replace that. Looking closer, I see my turn signal casing is half full of blinker fluid... er water. Is that a typical problem? Maybe I'll drill some drain holes in it.

Whats best way to get into turn signal to replace bulb, lens?
