Low Voltage! doesn't feel like it though...
My voltage is very low, around 8 or 9...but the lights do not dim, and i don't feel any loss in any kinda power anywhere.
I checked the alternator out, and the wire on the back will not tighten all the way, the nut goes tight on the eye hook, but then both of them just turn freely. i don't know if this would cause a false reading or something.
Would my cam have anything to do with this? thanks

washer doesn't work, i just checked it again, the bolt spins freely, doesn't matter if theres a nut on there or not, the bolt just doesn't stay tight...i'm guessing theres a nut on the inside of the alt that keeps the bolt tight.
do i have to buy a new alt...or can i somehow tighten the nut on the inside?
thanks again

well i got the nut tight...thats not the problem...still low voltage, i'm gonna go pick up a volt meter right now.
on a side not, it looks like theres a very thin line of smoke comin up from the alternator while its running.
