oil and coolant lights?
oil and coolant lights? I have recently acquired a frequent low oil and low coolant light in my dash. They started at different times, and are off and on. Other than the sending units, is there anything else that might cause this (yes the levels are correct).
they might just need to be reset, i cant remember how its done....or the sending units could be bad...the one of the back of the manifold or the one down by the pan...u could also take this ? to the mant. department

The low coolant sensors are known for going bad, most people just disconnect the sensor wires and tie it off to keep the light from coming on. Think they did away with them on our cars in 2K, mine doesn't have one. It's on the passenger side of the radiator, about 4-5" below the radiator cap. The low oil level indicator screws into the passenger side of the pan, if it was me I'd replace that one if the level is consistently correct when it comes on.

I'm running into the same problem all the sudden. Went to the track last weekend. Coolant light came on the next day. Low oil light came on this morning after starting her up. Both levels are actually fine though. Never have reset after oil changes, so I'll try that and see what happens. Seems odd that they both started going crazy together.
