Wierd Window Noise!! Help ASAP!!

Wierd Window Noise!! Help ASAP!! So I think that my drivers side window motor finally went out! I was really slow, and now it just stoped. It's stuck about 3/4 of the way up. 
Now here is the wierd part, when I push the switch up I hear a whine, and when I push it down, I hear a click. All this noise is coming from the area behind where the stereo is at. It is pretty loud. The whine stops if I keep pushing the swith up, I'll let it rest and then it will do it again. I just want to make sure what it is before I go buy a new motor. Thanks in advance!!
p.s... Funny thing is that the motor went out when I was getting food through the drive-through!! I had to open the door and get out to get my food. The people behing my were looking at me like if I was stupid or something!!

Take the door panel off and try to put the window up or down and take a small hammer and smack the motor, sometimes they freeze up and you can un freeze them by smacking it. This is not a fix but a quick dianosis.
